Mae and Gabrial met at the University of Illinois Springfield in environmental biology class. There, Gabrial asked Mae to be his partner for a class project. While working on this project, they were sent home due to COVID. Nevertheless, they maintained contact, grew closer, and got together officially the next semester. Through the next 5 years, they both got their degrees, got big kid jobs, and moved in to their first apartment in the south loop of Chicago. In December of 2024, Gabrial popped the question and Mae said yes! Now they are so excited to have you celebrate this moment with them!
